Scholarship Information
The Osita Nebolisa Foundation is geared towards providing scholarship support to indigenes of Nimo.
It is designed to identify and nurture our students who have the capacity to excel academically in sound and in mind.
The scholarship scheme will seek out and encourage students who have the potential to excel in their chosen careers,
impact Nimo Owelle positively in the medium and long term and contribute positively to the world.
The scholarship will cover annual tuition costs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to only indigenes of Nimo who are students
- Must be below 24 years of age at the time of application
- Only students with demonstrable or obvious financial challenge can apply
- You can apply if you are in any of the classes listed below:
- For secondary school applicants: JS3, SS1, SS2, SS3.
- For Higher Institution applicants: Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, year 4,
(Year 4 can only apply if studying a 5 year course)
- Currently amongst the top three in your class in terms of academic performance. Please note that this will be verified
- You must be an intelligent, hard working, dutiful and a creative student
- The scholarship is limited to students that are enrolled in public/government schools only. Private schools are excluded for now
- To continue to be a beneficiary in subsequent years after the first one,
the scholar must maintain academic excellence by being amongst the best three in his class.
If in higher institution, the scholar must be in dean's list and must maintain GPA
of 3.5/equivalent to continue to be a beneficiary
Selection Procedure/Administration:
- Candidates are assessed based on their needs, academic reference and academic history
- The decision of the Selection Committee is final
